Journal of Geological Education, v35 n5 p Nov Described is a partnership in North Carolina of an earth-resources company, a university, a geologist, and a public-school science teacher. The partnership has developed a series of content-oriented workshops related to earth-science education. To assist NASA, NOAA, and USGS in developing these tools, the NRC was asked to carry out a "decadal strategy" survey of Earth science and applications from space that would develop the key scientific questions on which to focus Earth and environmental observations in the period and beyond, and present a prioritized list of space. Earth sciences, the fields of study concerned with the solid Earth, its waters, and the air that envelops it. Included are the geologic, hydrologic, and atmospheric sciences.
